Pasta Palooza – Amazing jazz concert, ensembles, solos and guard performances at our annual fundraiser this past Thursday! Delicious food and a big silent auction made for a wonderful evening. Thank you for coming out and supporting the LBBC as they raise money to keep our band banquet tickets as cheap as possible.
Winterguard – Congrats Lamar High School Varsity Winterguard!!! They placed 2nd at the NTCA Championship this past Saturday. The performance was absolutely breathtaking and the best of the season! We are all very proud of these hard working young men and women!
Sectionals – Due to schedule conflicts, we have altered the after school schedule this week. We are very close to UIL and after those performances we will have a very minimal after school schedule.
Spring Trip – The last payment is due April 3rd, but early payments are always appreciated! All students need to have a signed “Permission to Travel” form for this specific trip. Forms available in the band office.
UIL – The UIL itineraries will be out later this week. We are very close to the big day(s). To achieve our goals of division one ratings, every students must work hard to continue to develop consistency. Let’s push harder than ever to our achieve a great accomplishment!
Parents, please help us by making sure every student has a dress / tux that is tailored if necessary. They should also be pressed before April 10th. If a student is missing a bow tie, please let Mr. Carlton know ASAP!
Marching Band Uniforms – Thank you to all the parents who came up and took uniforms home to clean. We appreciate it. You can return them Monday, Wednesday or Thursday this week. Make sure the uniforms are put back in the correct bags.
Save the Date – June 17th we will bring back the Lamar band mattress sale fundraiser! A few years back we did our first mattress sale with great success. It’s time once again to set up a mattress store in the band room. DON’T BUY A MATTRESS UNTIL JUNE! See the attached flyer.

Quote of the Week – “The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don’t define them, or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them.” –Denis Watley
